Life's poignancy is captured in little moments, I feel, so the symbols of times and places past are my real treasures today. Growing up in Philadelphia, my seven siblings and I didn't have keepsakes and pictures to preserve our childhood. It's all the more important, therefore, to protect the meaningful things in life. At family gatherings, I take lots of photos. I know that for future generations these recollections will be a bridge that connects grandchild to parent to grandparent and beyond.
